I Walk with the Dead.

 Hey friends!
I have a confession, I am terrible at posting comments. I always look at all your lovely blogs, but sometimes I forget to post! I apologize. Note to self: things to work on in the future.

Besides that my week has looked something like this:

I do not know who this man is, but I feel his struggle.

Needless to say, I have coffee induced hangover.
Hell week has commenced...
Thank da' lord.

Things I have accomplished:
- 4 finals
- 2 group projects
- 1 paper
- Going to class
- Getting a 2/12 hour physical for the cruise, stupid.
- Sending all my paperwork to Holland America
- A presentation
- Packing for the Caribbean!
Mind you I did not begin studying, or preparing for any of these items until last Sunday. Time management skills=0, Zombie skills=1.

So here is a quick photo log of some eats before I galivant to the airport and catch my red eye. Crazy!

Bam!

Sham.

Pam.

Zam.

Gam.

Ham?

Jiggity jam.

Wam.

Alikazam!

I have no excuse for this post.
I'm off to the Caribbean, recap when I return!

Have a good week beauties!

4.3.10

Under Pressure, David Bowie Style.

What up loves?!

So, the stress of life has been weighing heavy on a Sweet Tooth's heart.
I have four finals and three huge projects all next week. Have I studied for any? Nope. Procrastinator extraordinaire. Not to mention I still need to take a physical and get a background check (for interning in the Caribbean!), apply for emergency finical aid (yikes) and register for classes.

No worries though; I am a tiger.

While indeed a sunny day in the Pacific North West, I realize it is not summer. Not to fret, I wore a jacket.

Last weekend I trekked home for a day. While there I enjoyed an amazing meal at Plum. It is an all vegan restaurant in Seattle I highly recommend! Also, needless to say Mama Coop and the Pop's hooked it up. Mind you, this is not even half the stash. They are the best-est!

The works.

Can you believe I've NEVER had polenta before? Crime. This stuff is good. However, homegirl is not a chef. Does anyone have any recipe ideas for this gem? As a classy collegiate, I have been microwaving it.

Damn tasty.

Here is another new treasure.
Presenting a progression of personal excitement:
I give you calimyrna figs.

 Work it.

Jazzing it up with some crunch.

Plate refilled multiple times.

The innards (this picture almost seems dirty).

Money shot.

Now having exploited these figs, lets move on.
To what you say?
Well, an average lunch of a Sweet Tooth of course!

This marks the first time trying the lemon zest luna bar. It was strange. Not a bad strange, just a weird one. It tasted like a sugar coated lemon rice crispy bar. The lemon part sketched me out, just a touch.

Talking about lunch, it is only natural to continue by talking about breakfast.
Breakfast of champs:

Vodka.
Ha! I kid. It is a late night snack, of course.

I am a firm believer in AM carbs. Scratch that, carbs in general.

Especially in Cap'n Crunch form. Even if they are hidden under blues and kashi golean!

I am loving the swag the parental's provided. Fact: fruit and veggies will be gone in approximately 2 days.

Enjoying it while it last, Tessa. Enjoy it while it last.

A breakfast delight...

World peace could be attained in a peanut butter wrap. Well not so much, but it cures my grumbling tummy.

Sometimes I eat salads.

That acquire heavenly glows.

To end in a Sweet Tooth kind of way:

Chocolate! With a side of awkward hand shot.

Well love pies, enjoy your weekend!

Question: How do you deal with stress?
I am terrible with it. I tend to avoid stressful situations at all cost. However, this goes against my procrastinator nature. Here in lies the dilemma. Either I avoid the situation until it goes away, or with school I wait till the last minute to accomplish anything. Don't you worry though, I always get shit done ;).

Two Weeks Till Freedom!

Lovah's! You ladies are too much with your sweet comments on the fit's :)

First, it has been far too long since I last blogged. School is bringing a sistah down, hard. However, I do have some delightful news from the land of Sweet Tooth. I am going to the Caribbean in two weeks, say what?! Long story short my professor/adviser/balla hooked it up with a paid mini-internship watching kidlets on a cruise ship. Best part (well besides being in the Caribbean), one of my bestie's is going too! Hooray!

Backtracking to last weekend... it was amazing! Little known fact, the Pacific Northwest can bring down yo' mood with its buckets of rain. But last weekend? Oh no, life had different plans. The sun was shinning and birds were chirppin'!

Plus I got a new outfit. Behold:

The Ninja Turtle snuggie. I jacked this dime from my homeboy while watching others when I enjoyed a beer
playing kickball.

The sun kept at it all weekend long. Providing bossy sunsets, which are one of my favorite things in life.

Downtown at its finest.

Also, I trekked here...

Mt. Baker, where I spent a glorious Saturday on the slopes!

The weekend was delightful, however this week stress took its toll. Case in point, last night I awoke at 2am, stayed up till 5am only to hear the blaring alarm at 6am. When stressed, I can not sleep. In these wee hours did I catch up on the butt load of homework? Nah. Instead I munched on a peanut butter wrap and cereal while surfing the web... productivity at its finest.

Here is today's fit!

goof.

Bars, glorious bars! Which are all gone :(.

Yum. 'Nuff said.

On to peas.

Last week I randomly sauntered into the local co-op, did I need to go grocery shopping? Nope. Seriously, I cannot be trusted in them. I decided to peruse the freezer section when I spotted a bag of frozen blueberries. I needed that bag. However when looking at the hefty price tag I scoffed in disgust. Low and behold right next to the frozen blues where a cheap ass bag of peas. I had no desire for the peas, in fact I can not recall the last time I ate them. Now I have to demolish a bag of them. Perfect. I'm sure this story fascinated you to the core. I apologize.

Moving on, here is a  little tutorial of how to dress up your apple:

Snazzy up with a carrot and toffutti cream cheese spread.

Awaken your taste buds with a salty, sweet contrast.

Let's be real, the best way to eat an apple is adorned with chocolate chips and cereal.

Pathetic attempt of a tutorial done.

In-between major minor freak-outs due to school, I stocked up the groceries.

The other goods are of no importance, the diamond in the ruff is that red box of childhood. It called my named in the aisle, "Tessssa, devour me." Kind regards, the Cap'n. Really, who am I to deny an iconic figure?

Finally, I leave you with this. For life would not be complete with out it.

One love.

Well sassy ladies have a WONDROUS weekend, cheers!

Fashion-ish Stuff and Bars that Snatch my Dolla Dolla Bills Ya'll!

Hey dolls! I hope your week is going swimmingly. Tomorrow is Thursday, but Thursday is my Friday. Three day week? Um, I'll take it.

* Forewarning, you are about to be bombarded with meager attempts of fashion.

Ready for this sweet tooth to get all myspace in yo' faces? Yeah, neither I.
Here's a little recap of some weekday outfits... because you know weekends get way more saucy ;).

The prime piece in this outfit you can't see. My Sperry boat shoes! Love 'em.
On another day...

However, it is only complete with this gem:

A crazy eye. Ha! I kid. Mama Coop (and the 70's) get mad respect for the jacket. Actually, for most of my wardrobe.

Today:

Too much? Probably. Let me know if I should keep posting zee fits, or if it's incredibly obnoxious. Its cool, I'm down for the bluntness.

Onto brighter prospects other than my wardrobe.

I ordered this on Valentines Day with muh gurls. I could only finish half of it due to drunken adventures the night before. However, not to fret because I love left overs! Really, who doesn't?

Vegan tempeh sandwich with: avocado, vegan mayo, tempeh, cucumbers, tomatoes, sprouts. The best part of the meal though, roasted potatoes! At home I added some bbq sauce to the sandwich because it was just a touch dry.

I am a college student, so I eat what's easy. My friends, this is lacking key food groups but it is quick n' delish.

A sliced fuji and almond butter wrap.

Also, I have a weakness for buying fancy sounding bars at grocery stores. It's kind of a problem :/.

Worth it.

This little treasure is something new to me.

I pan fried it in oil then paired it with an old favorite. Oat bran! Mixed in smart ground, hummus (I am in love with melted hummus) and hot sauce.

So satisfying.

Another new bar I had is NuGo Dark, in chocolate chocolate chip flavor.

Holy Moses, I am in love. Wow, I say that a lot. Ti's true though! These things are delicious, and they are vegan! Win, win.

Move over nut butters, (Dramatization: I take it back nut butters!) there is a new addicting wrap in town. What I really wanted to say is new sheriff in town, damn I am cheesy. It involves this gem.

Shoo, I am all about the tofutti products lately. I ain't hatin' it either, ya heard.

Simply spread tofutti cream cheese liberally on your wrap of choice. Add truvia (or other sweetener) plus cinnamon and viola! Thuur you have it.

Auhmaze. Or take away the sugar + cinnamon and add a whole lotta hot sauce. Just as addicting and scrumptious.

Well lovely ladies, that's allz I got. Have a fantastic (and then some) Wednesday eve!

Q: What is everyone's plans for the weekend?

12.2.10

New Love and True Love.

Ey bay bay's. It's the weekend... can i get an AMEN!

Technically my weekend started last night, for this sweet tooth does not have class on Friday. I had a roomie din din, which involved one too many PBR's (only the finest). After this, there miiiight have been a few wine bottles cracked. My intentions did not begin in having wild Thursday outing, however before I knew it  I was chatting it up at the bars. Oh college.

I woke up today at 1pm with a splitting headache. This never happens. First, I usually don't get hangovers. Second, I NEVER sleep in this late. On the weekdays I wake up from 5:45am to 6:15am, strange indeed. Anyvays, after hitting up the gym, I felt much better. Just had to sweat out those toxins! Which I'm sure everyone around me loved, minor details though.

On to the goods.

A recent discovery. I realize I'm a late hopping on this band wagon.

This little devil has entered my house and found...
it's mate.

Cause lord knows apples are not sweet enough on their own.

Hello, food porn.

A vegan tamale, pan fried tofu dog, squash n' black beans and hummus. Damn tasty.

With a side of this.

I am obsessed with shrooms, and the balsamic vinegar didn't hurt one bit.

New love, brussels sprouts.

Baked brussels sprouts, whole wheat wrap with black beans, hummus and a tofu dog doused in hot sauce n' mustard.

This never gets old.

Brussels sprouts may be my new love, but cereal is my true love.

I had this little gem after working out today.

Little fact, I pour salt and hot sauce on urverythang savory.

Nothing is complete with out a sweet treat.

Multi-grain cheerios, pb and chocolate chips.

I'm staying in tonight and watching the Best Thing I Ever Ate highlighting 'chocolate' and 'sugar rush'. Oh Food Network, how i love thee. Crazy Friday night, it's how i roll.

Well boo faces, I hope your weekend is amazing. Single or taken, have a ballin' Valentines day :)
