sweet thangs, thanks for bday wishes! sorry i have been so m.i.a... shoot child, i'm so impressed by all of you who post everyday! sometimes i feel like life just gets in the way you know?
howevvvva... i just saw julie & julia last night, it reminded my ass that i love blogging and reading all yo fly mamacita's blogs!

so where have i been? welp recovering from my 21st... then off to new york with my two besties. i stayed at my cousin's who lives in the heart of greenwich village (okay balla) and let me tell you... i am in love!!! i want to move to manhattan SO badly... to bad my ass is a broke joke, and you have to be rolling in the benjamins to live there, heartbreak.

on to food. i don't have pics of all my meals since i've been back BUT here are a few highlights...

monday

bfast.
1/2 cup of oats, 1 light laughing cow cheese, 1 fried egg, hot sauce and some salt n' peppa.

after i digested i ran slash walked outside for about an hour... the sun was shinin', birds chirpin'... overall amazing.

snack.
white nectarine with cinnamon.

dinna: salmon burger avec dijon mustard. also a salad with lettuce, strawberries, capers and mushrooms with a dollop of some bomb hummus.

later this gem appeared before my eyes.
white nectarine (hey if i don't gobble them all up they'll go bad, right?) and naner with cinn, and a side of better n'pb.

tuesday

brekkie.
i apologize for the hot sauce, it makes me cringe. the egg looks like it just got in a battle and lost... well i suppose it did, cause i ate it.
naner with almond butta and cinnamon, plus a hard boiled egg dipped in hot saucy.

i ran about 45 minutes outside, felt glorious. but for some reason homegirl's legs feel like jello. i think my body is a) confused i'm running, due to the fact i took a break last week because of all the festivities and b) i'm not used to running outside.
just means i got to get my stretch on!

snackie.
hard boiled egg. what the hell is going on with me? i never eat eggs, and it seems i've been eating them non stop. strange indeed.

and this concoction...
frozen naner blended with 1 scoop chocolate protein powder, cinnamon and pumpkin spice. it was pretty good because i wanted something sweet, but let's just say the taste of protein powder was not exactly subtle.

then before going with the fam to downtown edmonds for my pops bday i had this...
some carrots and cashews.

we walked around and went to a wine bar. got some wine... legally with the parental's ha! totally not a big deal, but hey 21 is still new to me.
dinna was 1 glass of red and a beet salad: spinach, beets, deep fried goat cheese balls (sounds gross slash dirtay, but it was baaamb) and a sweet raspberry vinaigrette.

saw julie & julia then came home and read.
while munching on this beaut.
dove dark chocolate and better n'pb. you bets believe i dipped the chocolate in the mock pb, delisssh. also i had some pumpkin tea with soy milk.

right now i'm sipping on black coffee about to tear myself from the computer screen and begin my day....
OH and would you ladies want to see new york pictures?? ha, i didn't want to do a whole post on it if you guys didn't want to see them so just let me know :)

what up mamacita's!
guess who turned 21 today, hollllllla.

so yesterday i had a little bbq fiesta with muh homez to ring in the long awaited big 2-1 right. basically we ate, dranky drank and caused a raucous. at 11:30 we taxied downtown to the bars... this is were things get murky :/ haha! we all ended staying up till 5am, woke up and mama coop cooked us a delish hangova cure bfast.

i sassed myself to the bartender, showed my id and told him i should get a birthday shot... damn hussy turned me down. good thing i have good friends to buy me one, well enabling ones at least.

fantasy nerd!

it was a beautiful day in the neighborhood (shout out to mr.rogers and his sweater's, heeey).
i woke up craving something cool, so what better to cure it than a yogurt mess...

bfast:
1 tj's 0% greek honey yogurt mixed with cinnamon n' pumpkin spice. 1/2 a banana, small handfuls of pb puffins and kashi heart to heart plus my boo almond butta.

i finished my book a clash of kings, now on to the 3rd book in the series a storm of swords... wow i am a nerd.
mmmk, so afta that i hoped on the treadmill and pounded out 5 miles in 45:16. this might be no thang to some but shoot, that's fast for this woman right hur. then i finished off another 1.5 miles alternating walking on an incline and a slow jog. needless to say i was dripping with sweat by the time i was finished.

around 1:30 i was ready for some grub.
why hello.
5 slices of hickory smoked flavored tofurky, inside is a light laughing cow cheese wedge... ti's delightful. some cherry tomatoes and a chocolate brownie zbar for some real nutrition.

then i decided to have another clif bar product... um probably not the best meal option.
but here she is.
chocolate chip peanut butta flavor.

i got some sun in, read my book and cleaned the kitchen. then went for a little dip in the pool, swam for about 10-15 min? who knows really, i never swim for very long but i love how relaxed i feel after. mmmhhmmm.

around 5pm, i ate this while watching the last episode of true blood i have. that is until i order the last disc of the 1st season. i see a bunch of you ladies are fans as well! damn good riggght?
3 sliced mushrooms dipped in hummus. cashews, sometimes with all the nut butter i consume i forget my love of plain ole nuts. and who would i be if there wasn't something sweet? 1 tj's 100 calorie milk chocolate bar.

around 6pm, i went on a walk slash run around the neighborhood. it felt glorious.

dinna was unpictured. it was a almond butta wrap (surprise in ya eyesss), sweet potato fries with ketchup and corn on the cob! i forgot how much i love corn on the cob.

around 10pm, snack plate shortay.
banana with cinnamon, pb puffins and mini pb cups delish.
to wash it all down.
almond milk.

i couldn't fall asleep SO the logical conclusion i drew up was to eat, ha! i had a small bowl of a cereal mix (pb puffins, kashi heart to heart and costco's spiced pecan)... my name is tessa and i'm indecisive.

well doll faces, its raining here in seatown :(. not okay cause i'm having a pool fiesta for my 21st bday tomorrow... this weather betta get its act together QUICK.
so since its not sunny here i hope it is beautiful wherever ya be!

what's with the post title, no clue. it's the first word that came to my mind... in some circles i'm known as a creative genius. ha!
let us travel back in time to yesteryore. (oh how i wish that was a word).

9am breakie.
1 tortilla factory wrap, with inside fillin' of ab plus a banana with cinnamon.

i ran 4.5 miles then walked on an incline for half a mile. i wanted to continue the two day trend of doing 6 miles plus, but homegirl's body was not feeling it.

then throughout the afternoon, snacking got all up in my face.
starting around 1pm i had this new delight.
5 tofurky hickory slices spread with 1 light laughing cow cheese. i rolled these beauts up then dipped them in hot sauce... baaaamb.

then i went to the mailbox and saw i got two new trueblood dvd's! these are seriously dangerous... i will watch episodes nonstop when i get addicted to a show. so even though the weather was amazing and birds were bumpin', i had to watch it. it was a life or death situation.
while watching 1 episode i had this dime.
tj's mini pb cups.

then around 3pm i was hungry again so i had this s.o.b... whhaa?
tj's 0% greek honey yogurt with pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon. also, half of a peanut butter clif bar.

lied out in the sun, shoo gots to get my tan on. then went swimming for a mere 15 minutes. it was actually kind of hard! i haven't swam in awhile, i think my body was confused on what i was doing to it.

i watched another trueblood episode, surprise.
at 5pm i had the other half of the clif bar.

then at 6pm i went for a neighborhood stroll. it was amazing! seriously sometimes i prefer walking way more to running! plus you can work up a sweat too.

dinna was a boss.
sweet potato fries, 2 blocks of fried tofu, ketchup, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes plus hummus n' tzatziki sauce for dippin'. and of course a wrap (sorry i am so damn repetitive!), this time however i put better n'pb with a baby spoonful of almond butta.

cleaned up my room... to the best of my ability. then popped in the trueblood, seriously it is a problem. i polished off 3 episodes during the night... than means 5 all day... that mean 5 hours of my life was dedicated to TV, sad panda.

while watching the show i had a big ole bowl of pb puffins and almond milk. also, a handful of tj's mini pb cups. i can't fight the night snacking... might as well accept it.

well m'ladies, keep your day saucy. it's almost the weekend, holla!

gem of a day.

top o the morn to you!
right now i'm sippin' leisurely on some black coffee, getting ready to enjoy a beaut of a day.
let the recap of yesterday begin...

bfast t'was a bfast cookie, my long lost lover.
1/2 cup of oats mixed with water, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder popped in the fridge ova night. then i topped it with a delightful spoonful of almond butta.

i ran 6 miles then walked a mile on an incline. after i worked on my essay for aussi... this application is never ending. fa reals.

then around 2 i had favorite of mine.
tj's 0% greek honey yogurt with a half a chocolate chip clif bar added to the mix. ummm cookie dough bites anyone?
i guess i was feeling the clif bar cause i went back for the second half.

after working on my application some more and doing some random ass other things it was already 5. time for another snack? indeed.

1/2 block of tj's baked tofu, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms and hummus for muh dippin'.

i went to go run errands the the madre, and while out i got a cute new swimsuit top! holla. i shall wear it for my bday bash i'm having saturday!!! wooo almost 21!

dinna was around 8, kind of my idea of a perfect meal...
sweet potato fries! yum. another tj's yogurt topped with kashi heart to heart for some crunch. and my true addiction almond butta wrap.

i went on a walksie after this, cause welp i felt like it. clears the head ya'll.
my night time dessert plate, it's something i look forward to allll day.
1/2 a naner, 1 fig, spoonful of better n'pb (thanks miss kailey for the reminder about this dime piece right huur!), pb puffins AND tj's mini pb cups :)

oh blogland.

shalom in the home! okay, so i'm not jewish... but often wish i was. it has been too long since i last blogged... whoever would have thought i would miss it? welp shoot son, i did.

last week was crap weather in seattle, what the fur? wasn't diggin' it. this week however the sun is a shining!
ANYWAYS... lets us take a trip down memory lane, to last week.
p.s. this is a long ass post.

wenesday eats.

woke up to the sounds of my tummy rumbling, hopped on ova to the kitchen and had a hardy bfast. unfortunately i failed to capture the glorious eats... but pretty much it was same ole same ole.

1 cup kashi go lean crunch, some blueberries n' strawberries and the secret stash of costco soy milk mama coop was hiding on me. also i had a flat out wrap with almond butta. this bad boy of a meal held homegirlie over for 5 hours... say what?

i ran 6.5 miles, then actually motivated my ass to do crunches as well. for my bday in two weeks happens to be a pool fiesta, and while i don't believe i'll attain a 6 pack in that time, well, a girl can try.

this beaut is something i had near forgotten about. i also happened to spy this gem while lurking on the merry land of blog, holla to janetha!
1/2 cup oats, 1 cup aqua, a poor attempt of a fried egg, a light laughing cow cheese, salt n' peppa and to add a little spice to my life... hot sauce.
PLUS hershey's dark chocolate squares.

so i don't know what's up with my hunger, maybe larger or more filling meals? but i didn't eat again for another 4 and a half hours... ti's strange.
while getting ready to meet my friend for some coffee n' chit chat i got myself some veggies in.
1/2 red bell pepper, couple of mushrooms sliced and diced, 1 table spoon hummus and 1 table spoon tzatziki. OH and whats that there? sneaky devil, creappin' all up on my plate. heeey, i don't hate it. muh hershey's.

i walked down to the local starbucks and met up with my long lost friend from high school.
while there i got a short extra hot decaf soy latte... ha! i always feel like a diva when i have to name more than two things.

once home i heard the tummy rumbling so...
yum. new addictions fa sheeze. flat out wrap, 1 tablespoon jam, 1 tablespoon almond butter and a whole banana.
after chatting with the fam, i read and then watched the classy ass show real world.
for a snack this found it's way into my hands... and heart.

thurday's eats.


woke up and the tummy was giving me a big middle finger. aka i needed some food.
behold...
1/2 cup of oats, 1 cup water, 1 mejool date, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, 1/2 a naner and then instead of the old reliable almond butta, i poured soy milk on top. i don't know why i stopped doing this but it's how i ALWAYS used to eat my oats. damn tasty, nuff said.

i ran 4 miles, then walked slashed ran 2.5 more.

and here is the creation i had last night, giving a little peep show.
jam, almond butta, banana, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice and carbs... heaven.

in the mail i got a big fat present, minus the bow, trueblood from netflix. effing love it. so you better believe i was all about watching it.
had this while destroying some brain cells.
hershey's dark choc late but of course.

cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, slice of smoked salmon all dipped in hummus. ti's bliss.

sooo i wrote this post last week and i am editing it now, failure. but i have no idea what i did this day. woops, it was probably epic though. aha!

here is my dinner.
1 flat out wrap avec almond butta. plus this senoritas salad: spinach, cherry tomatoes, 1 morning star bfast pattie, mushrooms, laughing cow cheese wedge, hummus n' balsamic vinegar.

then apparently i thought it was a brillant idea to pose my dessert with my book, a fetching couple indeed.
chocolate brownie zbar plus a lil' bit of love, slash chocolate.


then some tea with soy milk to end my night right.

the weekend:
i went to orcas island with my ma, pa, bro, aunt and her lovely friend jeyne (a little pistol whip). it was pretty chill. on saturday we went on an 8 mile hike and spread my uncles ashes at the top. it was an incredibly sad but touching moment. i didn't capture my food, but i was probably too well feed ahah! but everything i ate was damn good.

Monday

1/2 cup o' oats, 1 cup watha, 1/2 a banana, 1 mejool date, doused with soy milk and black coffee.

i ran 7 miles on the tread, and walked 1/2 a mile... damn shorty. don't know where that energy came from. didn't get hungry till about 2:30, and i had a little snackie. my favorite kind, in fact.

1 cup kashi heart to heart, 1/2 naner, 1/2 cup soy milk and all delicious.

about an hour and a half later the tums was hungry again so i got a little protein in my belly.

morning star bfast pattie with a laughing cow cheese wedge. i had two of these bad boys.

then i sassed myself to costco and tj's with the mama coop and muh pops.
after putting all the glorious new eats away i made a quick, delicious and sorrrta nutritious, dinna.
1 la tortilla factory wrap, 1 tablespoon reduced sugar raspberry preserves, 1 tablespoon better n'pb, 1 tj's 0% greek honey yogurt, a hidden fig in thur and top with a sprinkle of kashi go lean crunch.

did some much needed laundry, watched a tad of sabrina on amc, then around 10 decided to bust out the chocolate.
tj's mini pb cups (these thing are deadly) and a 100 calorie milk chocolate stick from tj's... they were out of dark, shame.

i read my mighty ass book that i'm almost done with, but i was still hungry. gahh lame. so what better time to taste test my new pb puffins? i had a small bowl of them with soy. so much for no cereal at night... whatevs. live ya life, yo.

its a beaut out here in seatown today, swimming might be in the works.
